NSW: Man refused bail on multiple child sex charges

SYDNEY, April 28 AAP - A man charged over the repeated sexual assault of a teenage
girl has been refused bail in Sydney.

Perth man Antonio Salvatore, 27, was extradited from Western Australia yesterday and
faced Waverley Local Court today charged with 12 child sex-related offences.

The court was told the girl was forced to have sex in several Sydney locations in April 2002.

She also was asked to become a prostitute on two occasions.

The assaults were reported to police by the girl's mother, the court was told.

Magistrate Jeanie Carney refused Salvatore's bail application and remanded him in custody
to face Central Local Court next Thursday.

He was not required to plead to the charges.
