Vic: LPG tank leak fears sparks nationwide recall

Fears of an LPG leak in cars .. have forced manufacturers to urgently recall more than
13 thousand fuel tanks.

APA Manufacturing says hand taps on the tanks may have been fitted with undersized
O-rings .. and there's a chance of the liquid escaping from the hand tap spindle.

The nationwide recall relates to tanks installed in vehicles between November last
year and February .. and APA says it's trying to contact all motorists affected.

The company says while the risk of failure is minimal .. the recall's a matter of safety.

If your car's tank is affected .. the repairs will be free.
