Around 100 Royal & SunAlliance staff in Bristol are facing anuncertain future following an announcement that the company isshifting some of its work out of Bristol.
The company announced yesterday that it was closing six systemssupport departments in Bristol, Halifax, Manchester, London,Chelmsford and Bournemouth to concentrate the work in Liverpool andHorsham.
The move will be carried out by the end of the year. Royal & SunAlliance's call centre in Bristol is unaffected.
The systems support department employs 960 nationwide and about200 are expected to lose their jobs.
